Brian Goonan, Ph.D.
Dr. Goonan earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology from Emory University in 1994 and began his private practice in Houston, Texas in 1995. Since then he has provided individual, group, and family therapy within an outpatient environment, and has consulted on site to schools and organizations. Dr. Goonan focuses on individual development across the lifespan in the context of relationships. In order to address the various areas in which this development takes place, he works in a variety of locations and modalities, ranging from typical therapy office visits, to school and home observations and interventions, to executive coaching, to sports psychology. Each of these areas is chosen based on the client's presenting concerns and needs.
Dr. Goonan also conducts evaluations and interventions with youth with neurologically-based disorders, such as attention deficit disorder, learning disabilities, developmental disorders, and executive functioning disorders. Interventions include individual, group, and family counseling, school consultation, biofeedback, neurofeedback, and video feedback. Dr. Goonan is available for speaking engagements, as well as consultation to schools and organizations. He has given over 100 presentations to parent groups, schools, teams, organizations, businesses, and professional associations. |
